Snorkeling in a gap between two continents - America and Eurasia - a must for everyone visiting Iceland, any age, any interests, any abilities!!! (If you can walk and travel - you SHOULD do this). We were 5 Russian ladies, 3 of us were doing it first time in our life - including my mom, celebrating her 70 next day!!!!!!!! Snorkeling with Finni was a great fun, as he was highly experienced professional and extremely pleasant, funny and smart guy!!!!!!!!!! Finni, 5 kisses for you from Russia and USA!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! What an unforgettable experience! You guys have an amazing team with a lot of humor, but at the same time oozing with professionalism, and radiating the necessary calmness towards the not so experienced... Fantastic job - it shows you love it!!! Sorry Finni, this one is for the entire team, but with special credits to Nina! Keep up the good work guys! All the best

I took the Silfra dive/Golden Circle Combo tour from Scuba Iceland based on limited size groups and a competent looking staff for the best price. Diving in Iceland is expensive, especially considering all you do is spend 1/2 an hour in a lake... but it's a glacial lake where the visibility is like a swimming pool and you're diving between continental plates. And frankly, anyone who can stand to be in 33 degree water for more than a 1/2 hour is either my hero or an idiot. Finni Finnbjornsson was my guide and he was kind but encouraging. As a former juvenile cop in the U.S., he gave me clear, but gentle instructions and a lot of encouragement / praise for my first time diving in a dry suit (no, you don't need dry suit certification for this dive). As I was the only one signed up for the tour that day, I got a personal tour of the golden circle and learned a lot about Iceland's current society in addition to the history of the sites (something you won't get on a big tour bus). He was willing to take pictures of me at the sites since there was no one else around, shared stories about his family, and he even drove back to my hotel later that afternoon to return the sunglasses I'd forgotten in his van. Considering the van wouldn't hold more than a few people plus gear, this has got to be the most personal dive/tour out there. I'd recommend Scuba Iceland to any visitor.

First ever dive in a dry suit was scary, but Jon & Finni took the worries away. Dry suit, snowsuit and all equipment is supplied. Small group - 2 divers, 2 snorkellers, 2 dive masters. The cold, clear water at Silfra was spectacular! First dive is out with a gentle current, then you walk the path back to the van with heavy gear. Sandwiches and hot cocoa were much appreciated. Second dive is back against the current is work, but so worth the view.

Had a great time with these guys, not sure why they are not more popular. Erla got us at our hotel, brought us to the Scuba center where we were outfitted in dry suits, then brought us snorkeling at Silfra, then to Gullfoss and Geysir. She chatted with us all about culture and life in Iceland, answering our many questions. She made sure we were warm and safe while snorkeling (taking special care to ask about my asthma) and dropped us off at the town swimming pool on the way home.

Thank you to Mr Finni and his co-instructor and his adorable german shepard (Ulan?) for an incredible day! We had so much fun on this first-time ever snorkeling in ice water that we are looking forward to coming back. The sandwiches and cocoa, nonstop levity, conversation, beautiful drive, humor, and everything else came together for a day we'll never forget. Snorkeling in Silfra is a truly breathtaking experience and your sense of fun and wit made the afternoon so memorable. You run a wonderful business! Thanks for taking such good care of us. Peace and love from Seattle, Allison and Chris

Before I took my Open Water course about half a year ago, I never thought I would ever be crazy enough to go diving in Iceland in winter... But it was a great experience! Thanks guys for introducing me to dry-suit diving and for the entertaining conversation on the way to/from Þingvellir!

Hi there Finni and Nina - thanks alot for two days of excellent diving last week - and your pleasant company... I really enjoyed it - as did my buddy Anders. The two dives in Silfra , with caves, swimthrougs etc,,was super - amazing and quite surreal with the visibility approx. 99m better than what I´m used to back in DK. Both dives ending in the 'Blue lagoon' where you could hover around until your fingers fell off... or you got low on air - a really nice way of ending some super dives. We were lucky that the lagoon was not stirred up - and therefore very beautiful. To Nina, thank you for making us feel like it was the first time we were in a drysuit ;-) - I´ve never seen such perfect bouyancy...cool. Finni revealed one of your tricks on day 2 - use the BCD more - simple but efficient. Day two in Thingvellir lake - at Hallvik / Davids Crack was awesome - definately as good as Silfra ... at some points maybe even better. I hope to dive there again some day. Second dive discovering more of Davids Crack with Finni was so fun.. quite a cool place we got out of the water ;-).. I really hope that I´ll get to Iceland and dive with you again soon. I can only recommend you for other divers.. Have fun Br. Peter

hank you Finni, Anna and the rest for making the dives at Silfra & Strýtan such good ones for me and 9 buddies from Sweden. We appreciate the extra effort you put in to make everything go very smoothly and your in-depth knowledge about the dive sites and the surroundings in Iceland. I couldn't be happier about the 2 days of diving in Icelend (and the other 10 days in Iceland too, but Finni had nothing to do with those :) )

We took the Golden snorkel tour conducted by Scuba Iceland, and it was the best organized tour we have ever been on. Finni, the owner of Scuba Iceland and our guide, is a native Icelander, did an excellent job of driving us around, providing us with information on history, culture, food and all the natural wonders of Iceland. Our tour involved a stopover at Silfra, which is a water body between the American and European tectonic plates. We signed up for snorkeling, as we are not scuba certified. Finni did an excellent job of prepping us for the snorkeling session. My wife was a first time snorkeler and was hesitant after getting into the water , but Finni did an awesome job of handholding her and making sure that she completed the whole distance, after which she was glad she did it. So, first time snorkelers fear not with Finni around :). After the snorkeling session, in some really cold water, Finni provided us with some hot chocolate and yummy sandwiches. Having been trained and spent several years in the US, Finni has excellent communication skills and make you feel at home,if you are from the US. We highly recommend Scuba Iceland and surely use them on our next trip to Iceland.

Hi We have now reached a camping site at selfoss, having a good meal ( Fish again :-) and reflecting upon the day we have had. We really enjoyed the trip, the good service, the nice guide and of course the great diving experience. This is clearly ranked as top 1 dive, no dives we have ever had can ever be compared to todays experience. This is all in your favor, scubaiceland, and of course our very service minded, kind, sweet and very skillful guide today. We are really thankfull for this, and if there is a new trip to iceland we will look you up and go diving again. If you ever come to stavanger in norway do not hesitate to contact either of us :-)Please forward this mail to our guide for the day ( I am really sorry to say we do not remember her name, but she was absolutely the best guide we could ever have, and made the day unforgettable. ).Jan Låder and Paul VestlyThe two very happy divers

Hi Finni, I'm guessing you must have forgotten me already. I'm one of the Pace students from New York that came last month. I'm actually one of the ladies that was brave enough to jump. I was hoping to see my picture on the website jumping. Ha! Anyway, I hope I'm on the right site you suggested we place our comments. I had the time of my life. Despite the cold water, that did not take away the beauty of the day. It's really hard to express my feeling, one just has to see for themselves. It's one of the wonders of my life time. SUGGESTION: Please sell some water proof cameras at your site. Oh! the profit comes to me. Ha-ha-ha!!!! Takk Fyrir. fota

I found Scuba Iceland on-line and really appreciated Finni's responsiveness and flexibility with arranging my dive and tour. I dove with Jon Ingi and could not have asked for a better guide for the day! It was my 1st dry suit dive and Jon was patient and very knowledgeable. Silfra was such a unique dive and I'm very excited that I experienced diving between the continents...and have the pics to show my friends and family! Jon gave me an entertaining tour of the Golden Circle and had many interesting facts and stories to share throughout the day. The whole day truly added more than I had imagined to my Icelandic experience. Everything about Scuba Iceland was first rate!

Scuba Iceland rocks! My husband & I had never done a dry suit dive before, we more of the Pacific & Caribbean divers. Finni at Scuba Iceland had two of his master divers dive with us, who were so patient and told us exactly what to expect through out the whole dive. We're now off to do some more dry suit diving, just because of the great experience that Scuba Iceland gave us.

Visit Date: 13th May 2009 I recently returned from a trip to Iceland, where the staff of Scuba Iceland provided me with some world class diving experiences! I conducted a fair amount of research prior to my trip and I chose Scuba Iceland due to their informative, professional looking website, their affiliation with respected training agencies and equipment manufacturers, and the timely and detailed responses I recieved to my initial inquiries. Owner Finni Finnbjornsson was very helpful in providing information and communicating with me prior to the trip; despite this, my travel itinerary did not coincide with any group dive outings. To ensure I had the opportunity to see everything I wanted to see, Finni worked tirelessly to coordinate and arrange private guided trips that fit within my schedule at very reasonable prices. After months of pre-trip communication, I arrived at the Scuba Iceland facility and knew immediately that I had made the right choice. Every aspect of Scuba Ice
